SPRINGFIELD, OH (JULY 25, 2018) – Clark County Department of Job and Family Services Deputy Director Pam Meermans is retiring this month after more than 30 years of service to local children and families.
“Pam Meermans fought every day to improve the lives of children who needed help in Clark County,” said Clark County DJFS Director Virginia Martycz. “Her legacy will live on through the excellent staff here at DJFS.”
Meermans was the founding coordinator of the Clark County Child Advocacy Center in 2001. She was hired as deputy director of the Clark County DJFS Family and Children Services in 2011.
Meermans is a Madison, N.J. native and came to Ohio to attend Miami University, where she received her bachelor’s degree. She also holds a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Ohio State University. She’s lived in Clark County for more than 30 years.
Deputy Director Denise Estep has been hired to fill Meerman’s position within the DJFS Family and Children Services division.
