[ARCHIVED] SNAP participants to receive February benefit early due to shutdown

SPRINGFIELD (Jan. 14, 2019) -- Due to the partial United States government shutdown, authorized February SNAP (Food Assistance) benefits will be available on EBT cards on or before Jan. 20, 2019, according to the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services.

These benefits are intended to purchase food for the month of February. PLEASE NOTE: Participants will NOT receive their benefit on their February load date.

Benefits loaded in January will need to last through February. We do not have any information on issuance for March but will keep recipients informed as soon as more information becomes available.

If we have requested information from recipients, please submit as soon as possible. All paperwork applications can be dropped off at the Clark County Department of Job & Family Services, 1345 Lagonda Ave., Springfield, OH 45503.
